All 30 Hogwarts Legacy Demiguise Statue locations
You can collect 30 Demiguise Statues in Hogwarts Legacy. Find out here where to find all 30 Demiguise statues in the game, how to collect the statues, and what you need them for.
What Are Demiguise Statues For?
You need Demiguise statues in Hogwarts Legacy to learn the spell Alohomora and to be able to pick locks.
After you’ve progressed far enough in the main story, the season will change to Fall. After that, Caretaker Gladwin Moon will give you the main quest The Caretaker’s Lunar Lament.
As part of this quest, your task is to steal two Demiguise statues. To do that, the caretaker will teach you the first level of Alohomora, which allows you to pick level 1 locks.

In order to be able to pick level 2 and 3 locks, you need to upgrade Alohomora. To do this, continue playing the side quest “The Man Behind the Moons”.
- If you bring Moon another 9 Demiguise Statues, Alohomora will be upgraded to level 2 and can pick level 2 locks.
- If you then bring Moon another 13 Demiguise Statues, Alohomora will be upgraded to level 3 and you can pick locks with level 3.
So, to get Alohomora to level 3, you need to collect a total of 22 Demiguise Statues. In Hogwarts Legacy, there are a total of 30 statues to be found in different locations (not counting the two statues you need for the initial quest). However, you only need more than 22 if you want to secure the corresponding trophy.

Hogwarts Legacy Lore: What’s Up With the Demiguise Statues
In the Wizarding World universe, a Demiguise is a peaceful, herbivorous animal. It looks like a cross between a sloth and a monkey.
The Demiguise can turn invisible and predict the future. This makes it extremely difficult to catch and accordingly valuable. A Demiguise’s hair can be woven into the fabric of invisibility cloaks, granting the cloaks their magical ability, albeit fading over time.
The Demiguise statues in Hogwarts Legacy are of a Demiguise holding a moon in his arms. At night you can remove the moon. The statue will then disappear and the Demiguise moons will end up in your inventory.
Speaking to Gladwin Moon, you learn that he’s afraid of Demiguisen. He posits that the moon in the statue’s arms is a nod to his name. So someone is playing a trick on him with the Demiguise statues. Moon hopes that as the statues begin to disappear, the culprits will reveal themselves. So you should collect the statues.
